0. The Fool
From Miriadic
The Fool is the first card of the Major Arcana of the Tarot. It is numbered zero, and considered to be 'outside' of the other 21 cards, yet it is a most important card. This is because the whole of the Major Arcana is often seen as the journey of the Fool, in his various stages of life, and through the Great Work.

[edit] Symbolism
The picture on the face of the card is often depicted as a jester or trickster type figure, at the edge of a cliff, all of his possessions in a bag on a stick, followed by a white dog nipping at his heels. He is about to foolishly walk off of a cliff.
